— A Bridge to the World of Consciousness —

My Encounter with Tomekichi Taike
(summary)

From 1993 , the author joined seminars that gradually clarified her life themes: "love" and "death." She often sensed a gap between her inner truth and society's idea of happiness, leading her to observe herself from a detached, third-person view. Over time, she saw that happiness rooted in the body and material world could only be temporary. True change required a shift of consciousness—moving from identification with the physical self to recognizing the self as pure awareness.

She calls this awareness "Albert," her term for the infinite, positive energy that is the true self. Human suffering, she believes, comes from replacing this real self with a false one made of negative energies. By observing and accepting the false self honestly, the genuine self can reemerge. This, once called "self-offering" in her study community, is at the heart of her practice.

Meeting Tomekichi Taike became the turning point. Though her first impressions were lukewarm, his persistent, sometimes uncomfortable words challenged her "meat-based" way of judging. She later saw the warmth behind his remarks, realizing her resistance came from seeing everything through a purely physical lens. She believes their meeting was planned in her life's "scenario," extending into her next incarnation 250 years later, when Albert will again take form.

For her, meeting Albert means meeting the real self—not adopting a belief, but directly experiencing the infinite, positive energy one truly is. The path is gradual, requiring daily awareness and openness to every emotional reaction as a message to awaken. In this realization, the world is seen as wholly positive, wholly Albert. With this certainty, she can now say her life is happy—not because of circumstances, but because she has met the truth of who she is.
